imagine your only friend is a gold farmer.

I just read In Real Life and it is about this girl named Anda.  One day she goes into class and there is a guest speaker named Liz.  She tells the class about a new game for girls only- Coarsegold- and she is offered the job of killing gold farmers for getting paid with real cash.  This person-possibly a scammer-is named Lucy.  When Anda meets a gold farmer who is nat a programmed bot, she is friendly, and she learns all about him.  His name is Raymond and he is Chinese.  He has had back problems at work and is getting so desperate that he has his friend giving him massages in exchange for cigarettes.  Anda has to work on making a petition for him so he can get his medical bills paid for by insurance.
