5th grade Deja has lived in New York her whole life. Now that Deja has officially become homeless, life is tough. Deja is now starting a new school, and shes not the most popular, although she does meet a couple of friends. She has now just noticed though, the skyline looks different from before, the two towers are missing. She is confused by this, but it seems as every time she tries to bring it up, everyone gets mad or sad.

The Odyssey
The Odyssey, one of the world's classics, is about the travels and troubles of Odysseus. Familiar with Greek mythology? You know who I'm talking about.
However, this book is called an epic poem for a reason. The poem itself is 485 pages long, and the plot is complicated. So I do not recommend this book to you unless you think you can handle it, because it is kind of a difficult read.
This book does have some language.
I rate this book 3.5 stars, just because it is a difficult read.

The Edge by Roland Smith (if you read my post about the first book Peak, you will know about the main character Peak Marcello) is about Peak when he meets some of his old friends from the Everest climb. They tell him about a PEACE climb sponsored by Sebastian Plank, a billionaire trying to make peace worldwide. Climbing groups from most countries will climb in different places and somehow represent peace. Peak and his crew are chosen for Afghanistan. They will represent peace by putting their tents in a triangle, each tent with a different letter on it, spelling out P E A C E and spend a night like that. They do. and when Peak wakes up the next day, All his friends are gone. and he has one job: to find them.

She's Mexican american and she officially can't exist
I read My sister's copy of Someone like me and it all about this Mexican American girl named Julissa Arce. She was born in a bathroom and got tangled up in her umbilical cord and now her mother cannot have any other babies. When she was six, her parents started selling jewelry in America. When she was seven, most of her parent's jewelry got stolen when they were eating lunch. Then when she was ten, her mother had another baby. Julissa now had 2 older sisters and one younger brother. After that, she moved to America with her mom and dad. Her dad started to abuse her by hitting her with something until it broke. They became super poor because her dad drunk 10 cans of beer every night. They have to move to a different state and Julissa wants to have a quinceanera but her family does not have the money. Her dad gets arrested because he abused Julissa and her mom and now she and her mom can't go back to Mexico, because Julissa was only using a two-year guest permit to live in America but now that it has expired, she will get killed if the police find out about her. she needs to keep a low profile, get into college, and become an actual American citizen.I recomend this book to people who like young adult books and people who like diverse non-americans.

But, Deet finds out that maybe the movies aren't a reality when he visits his dad for the first time in prison, he finds that some prisoners have there own stories and family, when his dad is making friends in jail, so is Deet. there are shocking surprises for Deet as he tries to help his family keep themselves together, How will they make money, how will they clean the house or cook. But Deet still visits his dad every day after school and he realizes what jail really is, not what the movies say it is, maybe prison isn't the end of the world after all.I recommend this book to anyone who likes to read about other peoples lifestyles.

He struggled to talk and, the alien can control him. When Felix finds out that if he tries to get the alien out of him, he probably wont survive. So, he runs away.
This book was a bit confusing, because there are bits where the alien is talking and it's sort of confusing.
I recommend this book for people who like: Page turners, and a little humor.
4 stars, it was too confusing to be a 5.

How 'How it Went Down' Went Down
At 5:30 p.m. Tariq Johnson was shot twice, 7 minutes later the cops arrived, he was officially pronounced dead at 6:02 by EMTs. This all took place on the one peaceful street in the town of Richmond; on Peach Street in front of Edwin Rocky Fry's grocery store. Tariq was just getting his little sister Tina a snickers bar and milk for the family. There are also two gangs; the stingers and the kings, one of the stingers killed Tariq. Everyone's question is "was Tariq a member of the kings? or was he just a kid caught in the crossfire of a gang war. This book has many swears, almost one (or more) on every page, like page 5.

Towers falling

Towers Falling is about a girl that is homeless that lives in Avalon. The girl's name is Deja. She is new to Brooklyn, New York, she just moved there and she is in a new school. She finds these 2 people name Ben and Sabeen both of them weren't born in New York. Ben is from Arizona. In the book I don't think it says where Sabeen is from. In her new school she starts learn about 9/11 but Deja knows nothing about it. One day she goes to Ben's house and Deja watches 9/11 and she goes home and asks her parents about it and her dad gets mad because she is "too young".
I recommend this book for people who aren't into much action or drama because this is a slow going book and that there is no action.

She always wonders, "Who is my dad?"
Bean (Pearl) has always had thoughts on who her dad was. Her mom never spoke of him and Pearl wonders why. Pearls friend also doesn't know who his dad is. Pearl thought that her mom's friend Claire has just been a friend, but now Claire is moving in, so Pearl wonders, could they be more than that? It seems as if Pearl's grandfather is the only one who cares, until she learns his secret.

I am reading the book out of my mind, and it is about this girl that can not talk and walk, and in the story she is telling you things like words are more powerful than you think and how nobody understands that words are a gift to have and it gets you thinking about how much people do not pay a lot of attention to words and how much we need them. Something I would watch out for there are a lot of ups and down and if you do not like that then don't read it. I recommend it for anyone who likes things going wrong if you do read the book in out of my mind you might get sucked into it.

Survive, Uncle Moshe said, was the only way to get through the camps.
The book that I just read was Prisoner B-3087. It is about a boy named Yanek Gruener who is a Jew. And where he lived they put Jews in things called concentration camps or work camps. Where they either starve them, work them, or shoot them to death. In the beginning they have a good life in Krakow where they live. But then one day thy asked for seven thousand Jews to put in concentration camps. Soon his parents were gone, then his aunts and uncles disappear, next his cousins, then him. He was taken away from Krakow and also got tattooed with the words Prisoner B-3087. Who knows who will survive and who won't...
I recommend this book to people..,
