NFA, No Fixed Address
The book that I just read is called No Fixed Address by Susin Nielsen. It is about a boy named Felix Knutsson and his mother Astrid Knutsson. And the live in... A van. If you guessed van the  you are right. I mean I guess it isn't the best place to live but at least they have that. They also have to take showers and stuff at a community center. But Felix gets enrolled in a French school where he meets his friends Winnie Wu and his previous friend from a different school- Dylan Brinkerhoff. At his school he is new and he doesn't have the best smell (Because he rarely ever gets to shower) but somehow, he fits in. When he finds out that his favorite TV show is having a junior edition he immediately fills out the quiz survey to see if he is eligible. Once he finally knows that he is accepted after a lot of paperwork and emails, he goes to orientation. He does his session and he is the last on standing, meaning he could have possibly gotten a spot on the show. And when he does he realizes that this could change his and his moms life forever. From there on you will have to find out.
I recommend this book to people...
  • Who have ever had a really life changing moment that changed their life forever
  • Who enjoy very page turning novels
This book is a young adult novel because it sometimes has some swear words.

5th grade Deja has lived in New York her whole life. Now that Deja has officially become homeless, life is tough. Deja is now starting a new school, and shes not the most popular, although she does meet a couple of friends. She has now just noticed though, the skyline looks different from before, the two towers are missing. She is confused by this, but it seems as every time she tries to bring it up, everyone gets mad or sad.

The Odyssey

The Odyssey, one of the world's classics, is about the travels and troubles of Odysseus. Familiar with Greek mythology? You know who I'm talking about.
However, this book is called an epic poem for a reason. The poem itself is 485 pages long, and the plot is complicated. So I do not recommend this book to you unless you think you can handle it, because it is kind of a difficult read.
This book does have some language.

I rate this book 3.5 stars, just because it is a difficult read.

Deets world is turned inside out when his father is arrested for drug use, It's hard for Deet to believe that his kind father is a prisoner. One day your dad is the king of the world, the next he's captured, enchained in a cell like an animal. Deets saw too many movies about jail, horrible people, horrible food, a horrible reputation. But, Deet finds out that maybe the movies aren't a reality when he visits his dad for the first time in prison, he finds that some prisoners have there own stories and family, when his dad is making friends in jail, so is Deet. there are shocking surprises for Deet as he tries to help his family keep themselves together, How will they make money, how will they clean the house or cook. But Deet still visits his dad every day after school and he realizes what jail really is, not what the movies say it is, maybe prison isn't the end of the world after all.

I recommend this book to anyone who likes to read about other peoples lifestyles.

I would rate this book three stars because of a huge gap in the book where nothing interesting hapens, in my opinion of course.
