Hey, Kiddo by Jarrett J. Krosocza is about the author's life. As a young boy, his mother was in and out of rehab centers, and he was so young and had no idea what was going on. As he started to grow up though, he realized his mother was a heroine addict, and she had been from a very young age. The Odyssey
The Odyssey, one of the world's classics, is about the travels and troubles of Odysseus. Familiar with Greek mythology? You know who I'm talking about.
However, this book is called an epic poem for a reason. The poem itself is 485 pages long, and the plot is complicated. So I do not recommend this book to you unless you think you can handle it, because it is kind of a difficult read.
This book does have some language.
I rate this book 3.5 stars, just because it is a difficult read.

She's Mexican american and she officially can't exist
I read My sister's copy of Someone like me and it all about this Mexican American girl named Julissa Arce. She was born in a bathroom and got tangled up in her umbilical cord and now her mother cannot have any other babies. When she was six, her parents started selling jewelry in America. When she was seven, most of her parent's jewelry got stolen when they were eating lunch. Then when she was ten, her mother had another baby. Julissa now had 2 older sisters and one younger brother. After that, she moved to America with her mom and dad. Her dad started to abuse her by hitting her with something until it broke. They became super poor because her dad drunk 10 cans of beer every night. They have to move to a different state and Julissa wants to have a quinceanera but her family does not have the money. Her dad gets arrested because he abused Julissa and her mom and now she and her mom can't go back to Mexico, because Julissa was only using a two-year guest permit to live in America but now that it has expired, she will get killed if the police find out about her. she needs to keep a low profile, get into college, and become an actual American citizen.I recomend this book to people who like young adult books and people who like diverse non-americans.

Have you ever wanted to tell someone a secret... but you're scared it will change everything?
IF I WAS YOUR GIRL by Meredith Russo
I don't care what I've said in the past. THIS IS THE BEST BOOK I HAVE EVER READ. Period.
Amanda Hardy just moved in with her Dad. They haven't seen each other in years, but yet here he is. Amanda lived with her Mom, but it wasn't safe for Amanda there. She needed a fresh start. She promises herself not to get to close to anyone because that would be dangerous. "Keep your head down, keep a low profile," she tells herself. But then Amanda meets Grant. Grant is different than most boys. Caring, thoughtful, funny, someone Amanda wants to get to know. As Amanda and Grant get closer, Amanda wants to know everything about Grant. And she wants to share everything about herself to him too. Including her past. But she's afraid that once Grant knows the truth, he's going to see her differently. See her as she used to be. See her as a boy.

Recommended for...

WARNING!
Anyone who cannot handle or you feel uncomfortable with strong language (such as swears, adult talk, etc.) I do not recommend this book for you because it has a lot of strong language.
I rate this book 10/5 stars because it is SO good

Monster Review, A window into a courtroom
A teenager is sent to court for a crime he didn't commit... or did he? He writes his life down as a movie. A movie called Monster. This book was alright but I would not recommend this book to anyone who does not like novels in verse.
I didn't really like it until I got two thirds of the way through.
overall I think this book was decent.
Ghost Boys a good book
I read ghost boys and it does get sad because this does happen to some people just because they have a different skin color and people should not be treated like this because of the way they look it should not matter what your skin color is you should be treated the same but we live in a safe country where this does not happen a lot. The boy is telling the story as him as a ghost. It is also sad to think about because this does actually happen in the world. And people don't deserve to be treated this way.But if you don't like sad books this is not your book.
I would rate it 4 1/2

This an awesome that you should read
The crossover was written by Kwame Alexander was a great book especially if you like basketball. I think this was a widow for me because these two kids in the book are only in 7th grade and in their life they have to experience a horrific thing that happens to them at the end of the book. I personally haven't experience what has happened to these two twin brothers.I would recommend this book to people that like basketball but you don't even have to like basketball to like this book because it is about so much more. if you like cliffhangers then you might like this book.
I would give this book 4.5 stars.
