NFA, No Fixed Address
The book that I just read is called No Fixed Address by Susin Nielsen. It is about a boy named Felix Knutsson and his mother Astrid Knutsson. And the live in... A van. If you guessed van the  you are right. I mean I guess it isn't the best place to live but at least they have that. They also have to take showers and stuff at a community center. But Felix gets enrolled in a French school where he meets his friends Winnie Wu and his previous friend from a different school- Dylan Brinkerhoff. At his school he is new and he doesn't have the best smell (Because he rarely ever gets to shower) but somehow, he fits in. When he finds out that his favorite TV show is having a junior edition he immediately fills out the quiz survey to see if he is eligible. Once he finally knows that he is accepted after a lot of paperwork and emails, he goes to orientation. He does his session and he is the last on standing, meaning he could have possibly gotten a spot on the show. And when he does he realizes that this could change his and his moms life forever. From there on you will have to find out.
I recommend this book to people...
  • Who have ever had a really life changing moment that changed their life forever
  • Who enjoy very page turning novels
This book is a young adult novel because it sometimes has some swear words.

The Crossover by Kwame Alexander is a book with lots of basketball so if you like basketball you might enjoy this book. This book is not just about basketball though. It is also about Josh Bell and his brother, Jordan and challenges they face along the way. There is also Josh's mom Crystal and her worrying about Josh's dad Chuck Bell's health.

I would recommend this book to anyone who likes basketball, suspenseful books, and books in verse.

I give The Crossover 4.6 out of 5 stars

Hey, Kiddo

Hey, Kiddo by Jarrett J. Krosocza is about the author's life. As a young boy, his mother was in and out of rehab centers, and he was so young and had no idea what was going on. As he started to grow up though, he realized his mother was a heroine addict, and she had been from a very young age. His father was nowhere to be found, and never had been, so he spent most of his life with his grandparents.

Would you want to see what happens after you die?

Image result for ghost boysYou're just playing with a toy gun in the park, then your gone, shot by a police officer that claims you were big, scary, and he felt attacked, you barely noticed he was there. The book Ghost Boys by Jewell Parker Rhodes is about a 12-year-old boy named Jerome that is shot and watches watch happens after he dies. No one can see him, not his family, not the police officer, not the judge, no one but the police officers daughter. I would recommend this to anyone that has had someone close to them pass away, wants to see the true difference between where we live and other people live. I would 100% percent rate this 5 out of 5 stars.

Imagine living somewhere all your life but still not knowing all its history...

5th grade Deja has lived in New York her whole life. Now that Deja has officially become homeless, life is tough. Deja is now starting a new school, and shes not the most popular, although she does meet a couple of friends. She has now just noticed though, the skyline looks different from before, the two towers are missing. She is confused by this, but it seems as every time she tries to bring it up, everyone gets mad or sad.

Alien's can ruin your life.

Felix  had an accident when he was 3 years old. During the accident, he got a fourth dimensional alien infused into him. When the alien was inside of him, it was struggle. He struggled to talk and, the alien can control him. When Felix finds out that if he tries to get the alien out of him, he probably wont survive. So, he runs away.

This book was a bit confusing, because there are bits where the alien is talking and it's sort of confusing.

I recommend this book for people who like: Page turners, and a little humor.

4 stars, it was too confusing to be a 5.

A homeless girls perspective...

Towers falling
Image result for towers falling
Towers Falling is about a girl that is homeless that lives in Avalon. The girl's name is Deja. She is new to Brooklyn, New York, she just moved there and she is in a new school. She finds these 2 people name Ben and Sabeen both of them weren't born in New York. Ben is from Arizona. In the book I don't think it says where Sabeen is from. In her new school she starts learn about 9/11 but Deja knows nothing about it. One day she goes to Ben's house and Deja watches 9/11 and she goes home and asks her parents about it and her dad gets mad because she is "too young".

I recommend this book for people who aren't into much action or drama because this is a slow going book and that there is no action.

I rate this book Image result for 2 1/2 stars
